Founded in 1956 by twenty families, Brookside Civic Association is a non-profit organization of area residents who represent the 400+ families in our neighborhood. The BCA strives to create and maintain a safe and family-oriented community in which to live.

The BCA is governed by a Board of Trustees. A trustee is a resident volunteer elected by members. Each trustee represents 20-40 area homes. The BCA monitors matters of community interest pertaining to government, education, streets and drainage, sewage disposal and water, public safety and protection, zoning, social, recreational, and cultural endeavors and any other matters of general interest brought to the attention of the Association. While BCA does not have any legislative authority, the trustees, present resident concerns to the board which then votes to take appropriate action. The BCA is also part of the Far Northwest Coalition, a group of area civic associations.

Through membership dues, the BCA sponsors the following events:

  • Easter Egg Hunt
  • Fourth of July Celebration
  • Fall Neighborhood Party
  • Winter Social with Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides
  • Christmas Decorating Contest
  • Annual scholarship to a resident graduating senior

The Association also maintains the Brookside Estates entrances and security lighting.

An annual membership drive is held each fall, collecting dues for the upcoming year.

BCA meetings are held the first Tuesday of every month at the Brookside Country Club. All Brookside residents are welcome to attend.
